Free Scale access continues while you meet the ambassador requirements. If you also refer paying customers, your affiliate commissions stack on top of this — the two tracks are completely separate.

Affiliate commissions stack

Ambassador status and the affiliate program are completely independent tracks. As an ambassador you can also carry a tracked affiliate link and earn 25% commission on every referral. The two are additive — not either/or.

Ambassador benefits are real. So the requirements. These aren't aspirational guidelines. They're what you commit to when you join, and they're how we ensure the program stays selective and valuable for everyone in it.

If requirements aren't being met — badge removed, posting stopped, or Willo not in active use — we'll reach out during a grace period before any status change. We're not trying to catch people out; we just want the program to mean something.

Display the "Powered by Willo" badge

A persistent, visible badge on your Willo site — footer or equivalent placement — linking to a tracked Willo URL. Wording approved by Willo; includes ambassador disclosure. Badge copy: "Powered by Willo · I'm a Willo Ambassador"

Actively use Willo to run your site/business

Free Scale access is for genuine use — not idle claiming. Your Willo site should be live and in use as your actual product, portfolio, or business presence. We can tell the difference.

Maintain a posting cadence

At least 4 posts per month on your socials, newsletter, or public platform that reference or tag @BuildWithWillo. These don't need to be sponsored posts — share what you're actually building.

Disclose the relationship

Sponsored or incentivized content must be disclosed per FTC guidelines. Your ambassador relationship with Willo is the incentive — name it clearly. We make this easy with approved disclosure language during onboarding.

Stay in good standing

Ambassadors represent Willo publicly. Content or conduct that reflects poorly on the brand may result in ambassador status being ended — we'll always reach out first.

Approved ambassadors get access to the private community, badge assets, their tracked affiliate link (optional), and Scale access activated on their account.

Your Willo site is live. The badge is up. The community is open. You're building and sharing. We amplify what you create. Spots are limited — if you keep your end, we keep ours.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I be an ambassador and an affiliate at the same time?
Yes — and many ambassadors are both. The ambassador program and the affiliate program are completely separate tracks with different requirements and different rewards. Ambassador status gives you free Scale access and recognition. Affiliate status gives you commission on referrals. They stack, not compete. You can hold both, either, or neither.
What does it cost?
Nothing. As an active ambassador, your Scale tier access is covered. There are no fees, no credit card required, and no catch. The value exchange is your visibility and use of the product in return for the access and recognition we provide.
What happens if I stop posting or remove the badge?
If you let the posting cadence (4 posts per month) lapse or remove the badge from your site, we'll reach out to check in. There's a grace period — life happens. If requirements consistently aren't being met, your ambassador status and free Scale access may end after that period. You'd keep any business you'd built on Willo; you'd just move to a paid plan.
What does 'actively using Willo' mean?
Your Willo site should be your real, live web presence — your portfolio, business site, newsletter landing page, or whatever you're building. It should be the kind of thing you'd point a potential client or reader to. We're not going to police daily logins; we're looking for whether Willo is genuinely part of how you run your work online.
Can I be an ambassador for a business that competes with Willo?
No. Ambassador status requires brand alignment, and actively promoting or building a direct Willo competitor while representing Willo would be a conflict. If you're unsure whether something qualifies, mention it in your application and we'll discuss it.
Do I have to disclose being an ambassador on every post?
Not every post — but on any content that's specifically about Willo or where the relationship is material to what you're saying, yes. We'll give you approved disclosure language during onboarding so it's easy to add. The FTC is clear: if Willo gives you something of value (free Scale access), that has to be disclosed when you promote them.
How do I know if my application was received?
You'll get a confirmation email as soon as you submit. We'll follow up with a decision — approval or decline — within 2 business days. If you haven't heard back after 3 days, email us directly.
What's the 'Powered by Willo' badge?
A small, brand-approved badge on your Willo site that says "Powered by Willo · I'm a Willo Ambassador" — linking to a tracked Willo URL for attribution. It needs to be persistent and visible (footer is the standard placement). We provide the exact badge asset and link during onboarding.
